What is OmVisim?

OmVisim is a comprehensive platform for all aspects of life programming and development.

OmVisim includes an IDE for L++ programming language, a modern programming language created for virtualization of all life forms. L++ developer can use OmVisim throughout the entire organism design process.

Installing and running OmVisim is easy and intuitive, making it accessible to anyone interested in checking out this life virtualization platform. Note that the OmVisim package comes with a set of template projects, which users can simply select and run without having to write L++ code.

Installation

  1. Download the OmVisim package from Omphalos website.
  2. Install the packages.
    (By default, OmVisim will be installed at C:\Users\<UserName>\OmphalosLifesciences)

Running OmVisim

  1. Launch the OmVisim app in the Start Menu.
    (The configuration window will appear first.)
Creating a Project
  1. Choose a template* and create a project to start coding in L++.
  2. Specify the project name and location.
  3. Click “Create Project”.
    (An .lproject file will be generated, which you can open at a later time.)

       * Check out the template projects included in the OmVisim package:

  • Basic Reaction
  • EcoliCode version 0.1
Running L++ Code: a Simulation
  1. Select/open the lpp file to run by double clicking the file.
    (L++ source code will appear in the code viewer tab on the right.)
  2. Run by clicking the run icon at the top right.
